Scout Badge Experience at Windmill Stables

Give your troop a hands-on, memorable day at the barn while working toward horsemanship-related badge requirements.

Our 2.5-hour Scout Badge Experience blends riding instruction with real barn responsibilities, giving participants a well-rounded understanding of horse care, safety, and basic riding skills in a structured, engaging environment.

Scouts will actively participate in grooming, tacking, and learning proper horse handling, then rotate through both a riding lesson and guided barn activities such as stall cleaning and feed preparation. The experience wraps up with untacking, grooming, and teamwork-focused cleanup.

This program is designed to build confidence, responsibility, and practical horsemanship knowledge, not just time in the saddle.
