Customize Your Celebration
- Extra Horses | $200: Add 2 horses for more riding opportunities and shorter wait times.
- Horse Painting | $75: Turn a real horse into a colorful masterpiece using horse-safe paints! When temperatures are below 65°F, we'll swap the paints for horse decorating with colorful braids, ribbons, gems, and accessories.
- Additional Riders | $35 each: Accommodate up to 20 riders. Non-riding guests are welcome at no additional charge.
- Larger Parties | Contact for Pricing: We recommend no more than 30 total guests in our standard party area. Need more room? Contact us about additional space available for larger celebrations.
Horse Painting & Seasonal Activities
Get creative with our horses! Our horse painting experience lets guests decorate a live horse with colorful, horse-safe paints.
When temperatures are below 65°F, horse painting is replaced with one of these activities:
- Saddle Painting & Pony Time: Get creative painting a saddle, then enjoy some hands-on time petting and feeding one of our horses.
- Horse Decorating: Get creative with colorful braids, ribbons, gems, and costume accessories to give one of our horses a one-of-a-kind look.
Celebrate with a little horseplay! Whether it's a birthday, family gathering, or special occasion, Windmill Stables offers a unique, hands-on experience for horse lovers of all ages. Our 2-hour parties combine horseback riding, creative activities, and unforgettable memories with our horses.

Party Itinerary
Party Setup: Party hosts may arrive up to 30 minutes before their scheduled event to set up food, drinks, and decorations at our picnic tables.
Welcome & Safety: We'll kick things off with an introduction to our horses, barn rules, and safety guidelines. Our first group of riders will be fitted with helmets before heading into the arena.
Horseback Riding & Activities: Let the fun begin! Guests take turns riding our horses around the arena, completing several laps before switching riders. Everyone will have multiple opportunities to ride throughout the party.
While waiting, guests can enjoy our self-guided craft station or participate in horse painting or decorating if included in their package.
Party Break: Our horses and helpers take a well-deserved break while guests enjoy cake, food, presents, or other activities planned by the party host.
More Horseback Riding: Back in the saddle! Riding resumes, giving guests additional turns with our horses.
Farewell to the Horses: We'll wrap up in the barn, where guests can say goodbye to their four-legged friends before heading home.
A Few Things to Know
- Supervision: Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children whenever they are not actively riding. Our staff focuses on horse handling and rider safety.
- Crafts & Activities: Craft stations and optional horse painting or decorating are self-guided activities available between riding turns.
- Riding Turns: We rotate riders throughout the party to give everyone multiple opportunities in the saddle.
- Flexibility: Our itinerary is a general guide. Activities and their duration may vary based on group size, rider experience, weather, and the horses' needs.
- Cleanup: All activities, including cleanup and departure, must be completed within the reserved party time.
What to Bring
- Closed-toe shoes: Required for all guests entering horse areas.
- Food & drinks: Bring your favorite party snacks, cake, and refreshments.
- Decorations: Personalize our picnic tables with your own party decorations.
- Clothing: Please do not wear anything you are afraid to get dirty.
Please leave latex balloons, confetti, smoke bombs, and anything that pops or makes loud noises at home. Our horses appreciate a quieter celebration!
Safety & Participation
- All attendees must have a signed liability waiver.
- Riders must weigh less than 240 lbs for the health and safety of our horses.
- Windmill Stables staff and volunteers are responsible for horse handling, riding instruction, and rider safety.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children when they are not actively riding, including during crafts, games, and other activities.
- Crafts, horse painting, and decorating are self-guided activities. Staff will assist with horse interactions as needed.
- Activities may be adjusted based on weather, rider ability, and horse welfare.
Weather & Rescheduling Policy
Texas weather can be unpredictable, and forecasts often change dramatically throughout the week. A rainy forecast on Monday doesn't necessarily mean a rainy Saturday! For this reason, we generally wait until closer to your event before making weather-related rescheduling decisions.
As we do not have a covered arena, parties are weather-dependent. We closely monitor conditions and may need to reschedule due to rain, storms, extreme temperatures, or other conditions that could affect the safety and comfort of our horses and guests.
We encourage hosts to let their guests know when sending invitations that the event is weather-dependent and may need to be rescheduled. If weather becomes a concern, please be patient as we monitor the forecast. Our team will contact you as soon as a rescheduling decision is made to coordinate an alternative date.
In the event that you need to cancel, we kindly ask for prompt notification to allow us to offer your spot to another client on our waitlist. Cancellations made at least 14 days before the start date will result in a full credit that can be applied to a future camp, lessons, or other services within 90 days. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the start date may result in the forfeiture of your fee, and no refund or credit will be issued.
No-Show Policy: Failure to attend without prior notice (no-show) will result in the forfeiture of your fee, and no refund or credit will be issued.
By registering, you acknowledge and agree to our Reschedule, Cancellation, and No-Show policies as outlined above. We reserve the right to make exceptions to these policies in extenuating circumstances
